We almost didn't make it inside Agra Fort as the taxi driver thought it was not very special. We decided to give it a look and we were very impressed. The changes over the ages gave it a completely different feel to the Red Fort in Delhi.

Agra fort was built by Emperor Akbar. He was undoubtedly the Greatest Mughal emperor of India. The construction of Agra fort commenced in the 1565 and completed in 1571. Built with red sandstone Agra Fort is a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture.We almost didn't make it inside Agra Fort as the taxi driver thought it was not very special. The fort was modified many times to allow changes to the water supply. Every time the fort came under attack the water supply was the first to be disrupted and without water the fort was not too powerful.supporting/offshoreinindia/photos/delhi\agrafort\agrafort5.jpg An important stone I cant remember but I think this was some famous tombstone. It has stairs on the outside and the inside and was probably used as a bathing device? If you look carefully you can see a Monkey on the roof.
