If you could spend a night in the palace you would certainly have arrived - it looked amazing. <BR><BR> India Gate is a majestic high arch 42 meters high built as a memorial to the Indian soldiers killed in the World War I. Beneath it burns an eternal flame. From the base of the arch one can get a good view of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. supporting/offshoreinindia/photos/delhi\misc\misc1.jpg Snake Charming.... As Sham hides as far away as possible Adam attempts to distarct the snake from its handler and send it on a mission to infiltrate Shams left trouser leg! supporting/offshoreinindia/photos/delhi\misc\misc3.jpg Missing shoe If it were pink I'd think I was in Uddingston - the shoe that is not the grass! supporting/offshoreinindia/photos/delhi\misc\misc4.jpg Lunch time Time for a quick bite of lunch. Never has a parasole been so needed. The sun was a scorching. supporting/offshoreinindia/photos/delhi\misc\misc5.jpg Sham on his tiny seat Sham makes the most of our sleeper style seats on the way to Agra. The three hour journey was rather reasonable passing through many differing land styles - passing hundreds of shanties - cows and piggies. supporting/offshoreinindia/photos/delhi\misc\misc6.jpg Lawnmowing the old fashioned way The people of Delhi are really taking the 'Make Delhi Clean' policy. The new improved sit in lawnmower was trashed and replaced with a couple of environmentally friendly oxen!
