Mumbais most famous landmark is located at Apollo Bunder. Architect George Wittet in the style of 16th centrury Gujarat architecture designed this triumphal archway.

A preliminarly structure was put up in 1911 to commemerate British monarch George V and Queen Marys visit. The gateway was completed in 1924.
